ALA - Gilbert North is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Alhambra on Tuesday as they made off with a 16-1 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.
Presley Noonan made a big impact no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. Noonan was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Those two runs gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Coco Gomez was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. Another player making a difference was Makenzi Ravelo, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two doubles.
ALA - Gilbert North kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Alhambra only managed four hits.
Meanwhile, Combs was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They lost 15-3 to ALA - Gilbert North.
Combs saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Melissa Gonzalez, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one double. Jaecie Johnson was another, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one double and one RBI.
ALA - Gilbert North's victory bumped their record up to 2-14. As for Combs, their loss dropped their record down to 5-18.
