Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask St. John Bosco Academy). They managed a 69-64 victory over the Genesee Bulldogs on Thursday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Patriots as it put an end to their eight-game losing streak.
Despite the defeat, Genesee saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Noah Bollman went 10 of 18 en route to 33 points and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Bollman has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Joshua Ketcheson, who posted eight points in addition to nine boards and three blocks.
St. John Bosco Academy's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-12. As for Genesee, they dropped their record down to 4-9 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road.
