Atchison-Maur Hill-Mount Academy strolled past Jackson Heights with points to spare, taking the game 48-34. The win made it back-to-back wins for Atchison-Maur Hill-Mount Academy.
Several Cobras players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Chesnea Cochren, who scored nine points along with nine rebounds and four blocks. That's the first time this season that Cochren pulled down eight or more rebounds. Taylor Bosley was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Atchison-Maur Hill-Mount Academy's win bumped their record up to 3-0-1. As for Jackson Heights, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 1-3.
Atchison-Maur Hill-Mount Academy will be home for the holidays to greet Pleasant Ridge on Friday. Both teams have allowed few points on average, (Pleasant Ridge: 23.2, Atchison-Maur Hill-Mount Academy: 18.5) so any points scored will be well earned. As for Jackson Heights, they will head out on the road to face off against Horton at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Horton is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.
