The Plato Eagles will head out on the road to take on the Fordland Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
Plato kicked off their season on the road on Thursday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell to Lebanon 57-53. Plato has struggled against Lebanon recently, as their match on Thursday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, Fordland's game last Thursday was all tied up 26-26 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They walked away with a 56-48 victory over Norwood. The win made it back-to-back wins for Fordland.
Plato's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Fordland, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.
Things could have been worse for Plato, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 51-32 loss to Fordland in their previous meeting back in February of 2023. Can Plato avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
