Eastmark has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against the Arizona College Prep Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Eastmark will be strutting in after a win while Arizona College Prep will be coming in after a loss.
In what's become a running theme this season, Eastmark gave their fans yet another huge win on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Combs 70-13 at home. Given Eastmark's advantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 46th, while Combs is ranked 216th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Riley Farnstrom, who scored 17 points along with six steals and five assists. That's the first time this season that she scored 15 or more points. Ella LaFountain was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Arizona College Prep's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 36-35 to Poston Butte. Arizona College Prep has not had much luck with Poston Butte recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Eastmark's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-4. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.6 points per game. As for Arizona College Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 10-13.
Eastmark beat Arizona College Prep 47-39 in their previous meeting two weeks ago. The rematch might be a little tougher for Eastmark since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
