Lake Orion (Mich.) snapped
Dakota (Macomb, Mich.)'s 10-game winning streak, with a 51-35 victory on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a touchdown run in the first quarter, the Dragons led 31-7 at the half.
Lake Orion saw its 24-point halftime lead fall to 17 entering the fourth.
Nicholas Cattaneo made a difference for the Cougars. The senior running back ran for three touchdowns. He has now scored 15 touchdowns on the season.
Dakota came in giving up 13.2 points per game this season.
The defeat comes as a step back for Dakota, which notched a 42-17 victory over L'Anse Creuse North in its previous outing. With the win LO extended its winning streak to four games.
