After a string of four wins, Pike Liberal Arts's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Saint James Trojans.

Pike Liberal Arts saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mary Holland Stephens, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. That's the most hits Stephens has posted since back in February.

Pike Liberal Arts now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Saint James, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 31-5 record this season.

Pike Liberal Arts will take on Eufaula at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Pike Liberal Arts is facing Eufaula at the right time seeing as Eufaula is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Saint James, they are taking a road trip to take on Central at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Central will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Saint James surely won't give up without a fight.
