The Carey Panthers waltzed into their game on Wednesday with two straight wins but they left with three. They strolled past Murtaugh with points to spare, taking the game 50-31. That's another feather in the cap for Carey, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Carey's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Owen Parke, who scored 14 points along with eight assists and eight rebounds. It was the first time this season that Parke posted eight or more assists. Another player making a difference was Preston Wood, who scored 18 points along with eight assists and five rebounds.
Carey has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 12-9 record this season. As for Murtaugh, they have not been sharp recently as the team has lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season.
Carey does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Murtaugh also has no future games currently scheduled.
