The Hunt Warriors were the 74-60 winner over the Southern Nash Firebirds when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Hunt took a 55-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of Southern Nash. Hunt has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Several Warriors players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Gracelynn Wolzen, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds. Those 14 points set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Ti'asia Taylor, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Even though they lost, Hunt were smashing the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Hunt's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Southern Nash, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 4-6 record this season.
Hunt and C.B. Aycock will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 2, 2024 without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully C.B. Aycock focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine last Friday. Southern Nash and Triton will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 2, 2024 without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Triton will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
