Crest has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will square off against the Burlingame Bearcats at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Crest ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They pulled ahead with a 39-38 photo finish over Southeast.
Rogan Weir was his usual excellent self, scoring 15 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan Golden, who scored seven points along with nine rebounds and three blocks.
In what's become a running theme this season, Burlingame gave their fans yet another huge victory on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Northern Heights with a sharp 55-33 victory. The win made it back-to-back wins for Burlingame.
Crest now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Burlingame, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 8-6 record this season.
Crest came up short against the Bearcats in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, falling 52-39. Can Crest avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
