Baseball Recap: Lynn Snaps Five-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

After only one run in their last match, Lynn made sure to put some runs up on the board against Winston County on Saturday. Lynn blew past Winston County 12-4. The Bears might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 contests by eight runs or more this season.

Cade Key was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and one run. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Conner Tittle, who got on base in all five of his plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.

Key wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Lynn kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Lynn's victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 17-6. As for Winston County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lynn will take on Addison at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Winston County, they will challenge Sumiton Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Sumiton Christian will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something Winston County surely won't give up without a fight.
