This season hasn't been kind to Faith Christian Academy, who are still winless after their fourth contest. They took a 61-42 bruising from Gilead Christian on Friday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Faith Christian Academy of the 51-38 defeat they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2023.
Talan Blankenship was his usual excellent self, scoring 20 points for Gilead Christian. Denim Myers was another key contributor, almost dropping a double-double on nine points and 12 rebounds.
Faith Christian Academy dropped their record down to 0-4 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Gilead Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season.
Faith Christian Academy will head out on the road to face off against the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Kingsway Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Saturday. As for Gilead Christian, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against the Hawks at 7:30 p.m. on January 27th.
