Pike County Central waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They were the clear victors by an 8-2 margin over the Pikeville Panthers. The Hawks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matches by six runs or more this season.

Pike County Central pushed their record up to 12-6 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Pikeville, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 12 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season.

Pike County Central will venture away from home to take on Shelby Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Pikeville, they will take on Letcher County Central at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Cougars will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something the Panthers surely won't give up without a fight.
