This season hasn't been kind to the Clarkson/Leigh Patriots, who are still winless after their 13th contest. They were outmatched by Lutheran-Northeast on the road and fell 62-29. While losing is never fun, Clarkson/Leigh can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 266th, while Lutheran-Northeast is ranked 31st).
Several Patriots players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Korbin Lemburg, who scored ten points.
Lutheran-Northeast found their leader in underclassman Gavin Feddern, who scored 18 points along with seven rebounds and six steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Feddern has scored all season. Josh Rojas was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with three steals.
Clarkson/Leigh bumped their record down to 0-13 with that defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Lutheran-Northeast, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 14-0.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clarkson/Leigh will take on Twin River at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Twin River is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak. As for Lutheran-Northeast, they will be playing at home against Norfolk Catholic at 7:45 p.m. on Friday.
