The Wharton Tigers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They fell 65-53 to Dekaney.
Several Tigers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Robert Lee, who scored 16 points. That's the first time this season that Lee scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacoryan Dickerson, who scored nine points along with ten rebounds.
Wharton has been struggling recently, as they've lost nine of their last 12 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season. As for Dekaney, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-12.
Wharton and Santa Fe will face off at 1:30 p.m. on December 29th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Santa Fe is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 50.6 points per game.
