On Saturday, the Sheridan Broncs faced the Laramie Plainsmen in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Sheridan strolled past Laramie with points to spare, taking the game 52-36. The win made it back-to-back wins for Sheridan.
When it comes to explaining why Laramie lost, one person who can't be blamed is Addison Forry. Despite the final result, she scored 20 points. Another player making a difference was Kylin Shipman, who scored ten points.
Sheridan's win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-4. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.7 points per game. As for Laramie, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 11-6.
Sheridan's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Campbell County at 5:30 p.m. on February 16th. As for Laramie, they will head out on the road to take on East at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. East will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something Laramie surely won't give up without a fight.
