Even though the Udall Eagles have not done well against the Argonia Red Raiders recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Udall strolled past Argonia with points to spare, taking the game 48-32. The team accrued 36 points in the first half and coasted on those for the win.
Udall found their leader in underclassman Lilly Hoffman, who scored 23 points along with nine rebounds and two steals. That's the first time this season that Hoffman pulled down eight or more rebounds. Emma Alberts was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with 13 rebounds and two blocks.
Udall's win bumped their record up to 3-7. As for Argonia, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-6.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Sedan the next time they take the court. Udall will head out to face Sedan at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, while Argonia will host them at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
