Lakeside Lutheran managed a 70-64 victory over Marshall on Monday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Lakeside Lutheran was led to victory by Nadia Murphy and Paige Murphy. Murphy scored 18 points along with 9 rebounds, while Murphy scored 21 points along with 7 rebounds and 5 steals. Murphy is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Stein, who scored 9 points along with 5 rebounds.
Lakeside Lutheran's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Marshall, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lakeside Lutheran will face off against Kettle Moraine Lutheran at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Kettle Moraine Lutheran's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season. Marshall won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Lake Mills at 7:30 p.m. on November 28th. Lake Mills is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
