Sunset is a perfect 10-0 against Beaverton since April of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Apollos will be playing in front of their home fans against the Beavers at 5:00 p.m. Sunset's hitters haven't had much luck over their past three matchups, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Sunset's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They had just enough and edged out Westview 2-0.

Not much got past Sydney Arnold, who gave up just two hits and racked up 11 Ks to keep Westview off the board. Arnold has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Shelby Townsend and Jordan Pe?a did most of the damage at the plate: Townsend went 1-for-3 with one home run, while Pe?a went 1-for-3 with one home run. That home run was Townsend's first of the season.

They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Sunset lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Beaverton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 11-1 to Jesuit.

Beaverton saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Addison Riedel, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.

Beaverton's loss dropped their record down to 11-13. As for Sunset, their victory bumped their record up to 21-4.

Monday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Sunset hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .339. However, it's not like Beaverton struggles in that department as they've averaged .344. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.

Sunset took their win against Beaverton in their previous matchup two weeks ago by a conclusive 15-1 score. Will the Apollos repeat their success, or do the Beavers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
