Alcoa is on a five-game streak of home wins, while Farragut is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Tornadoes will welcome the Admirals at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Alcoa's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They put the hurt on Eagleton College & Career Academy with a sharp 11-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Tornadoes in their matchups with the Royals: they've now won six in a row.
Kaylea Osborne was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). Osborne was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Adrianna King, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Dylan Jablonski, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.
Alcoa was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .385. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Eagleton College & Career Academy only posted a batting average of .125.
The home team had come away the winner the last four times Farragut and Maryville had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Admirals blew past the Red Rebels 7-1 on Tuesday.
Hallie Grace Johnson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Alexa Shrader and Rylee Raby did most of the damage at the plate: Shrader scored a run while going 2-for-3, while Raby went 2-for-3 with one home run. Dajah Means was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double.
Alcoa's victory bumped their record up to 11-2-1. As for Farragut, their win bumped their record up to 20-4-1.
Alcoa took their victory against Farragut in their previous meeting back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 10-0 score. Will the Tornadoes repeat their success, or do the Admirals have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
