We've got a battle between Bulldogs coming up. Pendleton is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.5 goals per game this season.

On Sunday, Pendleton needed a bit of extra time to put away York. They never let the Cougars get on the board and left with a 1-0 win. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but the Bulldogs were the better team in the second half.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Miguel Garutti De Oliveira, who's now up to five this season.

Meanwhile, Newberry took care of business in their home opener (barely) on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over Clinton.

The win made it two in a row for Pendleton and bumps their season record up to a perfect 3-0. As for Newberry, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.

Pendleton came out on top in a nail-biter against Newberry when the teams last played back in May of 2018, sneaking past 1-0. Does Pendleton have another victory up their sleeve, or will Newberry turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
