It was a good run, but Nazareth unfortunately witnessed the end of their eight-game winning streak on Monday. They lost 11-5 to the Forsan Buffaloes. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Swifts, who until this matchup were averaging 3.93 runs allowed.

Tripp Ethridge was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one double.

Nazareth's defeat dropped their record down to 12-2. As for Forsan, their victory bumped their record up to 12-7-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Nazareth will challenge Borden County at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Forsan, they will face off against Christoval at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Cougars will roll in looking for their 13th straight win, something the Buffaloes surely won't give up without a fight.
