The Glens Falls Indians put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Ichabod Crane 48-14 at home. The result was nothing new for Glens Falls, who have now won five matches by 21 points or more so far this season.
When it comes to explaining why Ichabod Crane lost, one person who can't be blamed is Zion Evans. Despite the final result, he rushed for 155 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries.
Glens Falls' victory was their fifth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 8-0. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 0-6 Hudson and 1-6 Cohoes (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 26.2% over those games). As for Ichabod Crane, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season.
Glens Falls will play host again and welcome Schalmont, where Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in New York (Schalmont is ranked 133rd, while Glens Falls is ranked 144th). Ichabod Crane does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
