Wooddale scored the most points they've had this season on Thursday, but it wasn't enough. They fell 54-41 to the Mitchell Tigers. The Cardinals were not able to make up for their loss to the Tigers from their previous meeting back in February of 2024.

Mitchell's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kayla McCaster, who almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine boards. The dominant performance gave McCaster a new career-high in rebounds. Terri Jackson was another key player, going 6 of 13 en route to 14 points in addition to six boards and five steals.

Wooddale has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season. As for Mitchell, the victory got them back to even at 6-6.

Wooddale and Freedom Prep Academy will face off at 6:00 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played. As for Mitchell, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Fairley at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
