Modesto Christian walked away with a 56-47 win over Campolindo on Friday. That's another feather in the cap for Modesto Christian, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Modesto Christian found their leader in underclassman Rashod Cotton, who scored 20 points. The game was Cotton's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jeremiah Bernard, who scored ten points along with nine rebounds and six assists.
Loss or not, Campolindo got some senior leadership from Dylan Mansour who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds and four steals and Tim Smith who scored 12 points along with six rebounds. Mansour also posted two blocks for the first time this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Gavin Rendle, who scored 13 points.
Modesto Christian pushed their record up to 5-1 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. As for Campolindo, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-3.
