Basketball Recap: Fayetteville O Skates Past Covenant C with Ease

Fayetteville O won the last time they faced Covenant C and things went their way on Monday too. The Fayetteville O Outliers simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Covenant C Crusaders 74-47. The match marked the Outliers' most dominant victory of the season.

Fayetteville O's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Samuel Williams, who almost dropped a double-double on 28 points and nine boards. The dominant performance gave Williams a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Anthony Harris, who went 9 for 19 on his way to 22 points along with eight rebounds and five assists.

Fayetteville O smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

The victory made it two in a row for Fayetteville O and bumps their season record up to 4-12. As for Covenant C, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-6.

Fayetteville O will face off against Alpha Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Covenant C, their homestand will continue as they prepare to take on Varsity Opponent at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
