Roncalli and Beech Grove are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2016, but not for long. Hopefully Roncalli focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Tuesday.
Winning is just a little bit easier when you work as a team to rack up nine more assists than your opponent, a fact Roncalli proved. They put the hurt on Perry Meridian with a sharp 52-32 win. Given Roncalli's advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 205th, while Perry Meridian is ranked 441st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The game was Kegerreis' third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Noah Schmaltz, who scored nine points along with seven assists and six rebounds.
Meanwhile, Beech Grove's 17-7 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They were outmatched by Franklin Community on the road and fell 78-28. Beech Grove was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 45-18.

Roncalli took a serious blow against Beech Grove in their previous meeting back in December of 2022, falling 73-35.
