The Jay Royals will venture away from home to challenge the Destin Sharks at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Jay is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.1 runs per game this season.
Jay's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over Baker. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Royals as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Hayden Morris made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out nine over six innings pitched. Those nine strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing four bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Jay is undefeated when Morris posts two or more runs, but 7-10 otherwise.
In other batting news, Jay let Brady Godwin and Cooper Harrison run wild. Godwin went 2-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple, while Harrison went 2-for-4 with one home run and four RBI. That's the most RBI Godwin has posted since back in February. Jax Lowery was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
Jay always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .531. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Destin fell victim to Bozeman and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Bucks, falling 13-0. The Sharks have struggled against the Bucks recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.
Jay now has a winning record of 11-10. As for Destin, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-11.
Jay's speedy runners might be the difference in Tuesday's game. The Royals have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Destin, though, as they've been averaging only 0.9 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Jay continue to outrun the ball?
Jay took their victory against Destin when the teams last played back in March by a conclusive 8-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Royals since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
