C.B. Aycock put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They skirted past the Corinth Holders Pirates 46-44. The Golden Falcons have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Pirates, too.

C.B. Aycock's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Dom Jones, who posted 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cash San Agustin, who scored 11 points.

C.B. Aycock's record is now 3-0. As for Corinth Holders, they are on a 17-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. C.B. Aycock is packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will square off against Smithfield-Selma at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Golden Falcons will be up against the Spartans' rather soft defense (which has allowed 54.33 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Corinth Holders, they will take on Cleveland at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. The Pirates will need to watch out since the Rams have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
