The Cascade Cadets will square off against the Franklin Community Grizzly Cubs at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Cascade is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.4 runs per game this season.
On Friday, Cascade made easy work of Hamilton Heights and carried off an 8-2 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cadets.

Grace Gray made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out 12 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in June of 2024. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run.
In other batting news, Ava Allen was excellent, going 3-for-4 with two RBI and one run. Another player making a difference was Grace Parks, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one RBI.
Cascade hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They are 5-1 when they post two or more strikeouts.
Meanwhile, Franklin Community came tearing into Wednesday's match with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 7-2 win over the Pioneers.
Like Cascade, Franklin Community also got a great game from a two-way player: Bryleigh Carlisle-Haltom. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. Carlisle-Haltom has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Addie Martin, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Aubrey Leugers was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.
Cascade pushed their record up to 8-5 with the victory, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.1 runs over those games. As for Franklin Community, their victory bumped their record up to 8-5.
