 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Thomas Donahue, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances.  Bear Tibbitt was another key player,  scoring a  run while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances.
 Meanwhile, Rivers came up short against  St. Mark's on Wednesday, falling  10-4. The Red Wings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
 Middlesex's  win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 3-5. As for Rivers, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.
