Morton won against Quitman last Tuesday with 17 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Thursday. Morton beat Quitman by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 17-5. Morton might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by six runs or more this season.

The win (which was Morton's third in a row) raised their record to 5-4. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 10 runs. As for Quitman, they dropped their record down to 7-5 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Morton beat Quitman by a score of 14-6 on Friday.
