Hayward's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They enjoyed a cozy 82-66 victory over the St. Croix Falls Saints. The Hurricanes' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Hayward's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Preston Sullivan, who went 6 for 10 on his way to 19 points and six steals. Sullivan is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyler Eaton, who went 6 of 8 on his way to 13 points in addition to eight steals and seven boards.

Hayward was working as a unit and finished the game with 22 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Hayward moved to 1-5 with that win, which also ended their seven-game losing streak. As for St. Croix Falls, they dropped their record down to 1-4 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hayward will head out to challenge Amery at 6:00 p.m. on December 27th. St. Croix Falls and Somerset will round out the year against one another at at 2:30 p.m. on December 28th.
