After flying high against the Beloved Community Charter Owls last Wednesday, the Kearny Kardinals came back down to earth. Kearny took a 66-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of Cliffside Park on Saturday. Kearny was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Cliffside Park apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2019.

Ortiz is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ken Hunter, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and five assists.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kearny will take on McNair Academic at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cliffside Park, they will be playing at home against Ridgefield Memorial at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Ridgefield Memorial is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road.
