Delta hasn't had much luck against Carbon recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Rabbits will look to defend their home field against the Dinos at 3:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
As a matter of fact, Delta put up the most runs they have all season on Wednesday. They walked away with a 15-11 win over Milford. The victory was some much needed relief for the Rabbits as it spelled an end to their nine-game losing streak.
Fallon Johnson was incredible, going a perfect 5-for-5 with three runs, three doubles, and three RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Jaylie Taylor, who earned one RBI, four runs, and one stolen base.
Meanwhile, Carbon entered their tilt with Richfield on Wednesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Wildcats 11-1.
Danica Adams spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up 16 Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Carbon let Kennlee Kennedy and Sage Vea run wild. Kennedy went 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI, while Vea went 2-for-3 with four RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Alexa Jones, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.
Carbon kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. They are 6-3 when they post 11 or more hits.
Delta picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 2-19. As for Carbon, their victory bumped their record up to 9-14.
