Scott's Branch has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. Having just played yesterday, they will jump right back in to play the Lake City Panthers at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Scott's Branch focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Lake City's 19-7 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They suffered a tough 69-47 loss at the hands of Wilson Hall on Wednesday. While losing is never fun, Lake City can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 209th, while Wilson Hall is ranked 36th).
The losing side was boosted by Bryson Rose, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds. The match was his ninth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Blayne Edwards, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds.
Lake City struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
The victory got Scott's Branch back to even at 4-4. As for Lake City, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season.
This contest is one where the number of possessions is likely to be a big factor: Scott's Branch have been smashing the glass this season, having only averaged 15 rebounds per game. It's a different story for Lake City, though, as they've been averaging only 28.7 rebounds per game. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
Scott's Branch barely slipped by Lake City in their previous matchup on December 6th, winning 57-56. Will Scott's Branch repeat their success, or does Lake City have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
