This season hasn't been kind to the Wilson Prep Tigers, who are still winless after their eighth game. They received a tough blow on Thursday as they fell 56-39 to Neuse Charter.
Several Tigers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Nakiya Boston, who scored ten points along with five rebounds and three steals. Boston is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Morgan Braswell, who scored four points along with seven rebounds and four steals.
Neuse Charter was led to victory by Chloe Kozloff and Cayley Cochran. Kozloff scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and six steals, while Cochran scored 27 points along with nine rebounds and four steals. The contest was Cochran's eighth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Addyson Barefoot, who scored six points along with five rebounds.
Wilson Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Neuse Charter, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-7 record this season.
