Choudrant can finally bid farewell to their seven-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They walked away with a 53-41 win over Simsboro.
Downsville suffered their biggest defeat since December 1, 2023 on Tuesday. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 42-20 walloping at the hands of Forest. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Downsville has suffered against Forest since November 13, 2018.
Despite the defeat, Downsville got a solid performance out of Piper Bennett, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 14 rebounds. That was a full 65% of Downsville's points, marking the tenth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Choudrant's win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-17. As for Downsville, they dropped their record down to 2-14 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road.
Choudrant was able to grind out a solid victory over Downsville in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, winning 44-36. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Downsville's Sunnee Miller, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and 11 rebounds.
