It was a good run, but the Jacobs Golden Eagles unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 60-59 to Hampshire. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Despite the loss, Jacobs still got an impressive performance from Ben Jurzak, who scored 25 points. Treval Howard was another key contributor, scoring 16 points.
Jacobs' defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-15. As for Hampshire, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-15.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jacobs will stay at home for another game and welcome Central at 7:30 p.m. on February 9th. Central has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 267 points over their last four matchups. As for Hampshire, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against McHenry at 7:30 p.m. One thing working in Hampshire's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three matchups.
