The Neuse Christian Academy Lions suffered their biggest  defeat since November 14, 2023 on Tuesday. They took a serious blow against Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill, falling  86-45. While losing is never fun, Neuse Christian Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings  (they are ranked 616th, while Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill is ranked 303rd).
 Despite the  loss, Neuse Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up:  Aiden Graham  scored 18 points along with seven  assists and six  rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of  Josh Martin, who  dropped  a double-double on 11 points and ten  rebounds.
 Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill was led to victory by  Kyren Smith and  Noah Kim.  Smith  dropped  a double-double on 17 points and 14  assists, while  Kim  went 11 for 15 from beyond the arc en route to 37 points and 2 assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points  Kim has scored all season. Another player making a difference was  Zachary Powery, who  dropped  a double-double on 11 points and ten  rebounds.
 Neuse Christian Academy has  not been sharp recently, as they've  lost six of their last seven matches,  which put a noticeable dent in their 2-10 record this season. As for Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill, the  victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 9-6.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Neuse Christian Academy will take on Friendship Christian at 7:45  p.m.  on Friday. Hopefully Friendship Christian focused on turnovers this week  since the team gave up 13 on Thursday. As for Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Trinity Academy at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
