It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the First Baptist Crusaders ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They managed a 58-54 win over Tournament Opponent. The win was familiar territory for First Baptist who now have four in a row.
First Baptist was led to victory by Josh Anderson and Levi Borner. Anderson dropped a double-double on 22 points and 13 rebounds, while Borner scored 24 points along with nine rebounds and five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Anderson has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jared Dudek, who scored four points along with 14 rebounds.
First Baptist's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-6. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.0 points per game. As for Tournament Opponent, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 63-248.
First Baptist does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Tournament Opponent will face off against South Texas Christian Academy at 5:50 p.m. on Wednesday.
