The Madison Jaguars have been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They fell just short of Red River by a score of 50-47. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Madison has scored all season.
Madison lost on Friday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Ja'Darrian Williams, who scored 11 points. Another player making a difference was Amarrion White, who scored 11 points.
Madison's loss dropped their record down to 13-4. As for Red River, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Winnfield the next time they take the court. Madison will host Winnfield at TBD on Saturday, while Red River will head out to face them at TBD on January 9th.
