Glencoe is 9-1 against Century since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Crimson Tide will host the Jaguars at 5:00 p.m. Glencoe's pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so Century's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Glencoe's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They put the hurt on Liberty with a sharp 15-0 win. Considering the Crimson Tide have won ten matchups by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Kalli Farrimond was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 11 consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run and two RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Tuesday Mevis, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Kendyl Mishler was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three doubles and two runs.
Glencoe always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .636. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Liberty only posted an OBP of .250.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 12 runs the game before, Century was a bit more limited in their game on Wednesday. They fell just short of Forest Grove by a score of 4-2. The Jaguars have struggled against the Vikings recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost meeting.
Alyssa Loza spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on six hits and racked up seven Ks.
On the hitting side, Century saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jessie Henry, who went 2-for-3 with one run.
Glencoe is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season. As for Century, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-14.
Century's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Glencoe hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .314. It's a different story for Century, though, as they've only averaged .248. Will they be able to contain Glencoe's hitters?
Glencoe skirted past Century 4-2 in their previous matchup two weeks ago. Do the Crimson Tide have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Jaguars turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
