The Taylorsville Warriors are taking a road trip to take on the Riverton Silverwolves at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Taylorsville's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 21-0 margin over Granger. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Warriors.

Jaelyne Zapata was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Megan Sterzer, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, six RBI, and two triples. She is on a roll when it comes to triples, as she's now hit at least one in each of the last five games she's played. Another player making a difference was Karli Brown, who went 2-for-3 with four runs, two stolen bases, and two RBI.
Taylorsville always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .656. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Riverton got the win against Copper Hills on Thursday by a conclusive 16-2. The Silverwolves haven't had any issues with the Grizzlies recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.
Like Taylorsville, Riverton also got a great game from a two-way player: Peyton Sanchez. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing five innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. Sanchez was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one home run.
In other batting news, Jaydan Bushman was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Aspen Roberts was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run and four RBI.
Taylorsville's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-6. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Riverton, their record is now 21-3.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Monday. Taylorsville hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 1 home runs per game. However, it's not like Riverton struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 2.2 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Taylorsville came up short against Riverton in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, falling 6-2. Can the Warriors avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
