Southern Fulton is 8-2 against Everett since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The Southern Fulton Indians will head out on the road to take on the Everett Warriors at 6:00 p.m. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
Last Monday, Southern Fulton had to suffer through a rough 72-33 loss at the hands of Fort Hill. While losing is never fun, Southern Fulton can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 481st in Pennsylvania, while Fort Hill is ranked 69th in Maryland).
Despite their defeat, Southern Fulton saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Hunter Ward, who scored 12 points, was perhaps the best of all. Sam Stotler was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Southern Fulton struggled to work together and finished the game with only an assist. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Everett suffered a rough 65-40 loss at the hands of McConnellsburg on Tuesday. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Everett in their matchups with McConnellsburg: they've now lost four in a row.
Southern Fulton's loss dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Everett, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season.
Southern Fulton beat Everett 56-46 when the teams last played back in December of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Southern Fulton since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
