The Colonial Christian Cougars's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They took a serious blow against Heartland Christian, falling 62-23. Colonial Christian was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Heartland Christian apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2022.
Reagan Clemens was the offensive standout of the contest as he scored 19 points. Another player making a difference was Landon Clemens, who scored 12 points along with 7 rebounds.
Colonial Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Heartland Christian, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Colonial Christian will square off against Crosspointe Christian Academy at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Crosspointe Christian Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past four games -- so hopefully Colonial Christian likes a good challenge. As for Heartland Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Kokomo HomeSchool at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Kokomo HomeSchool will be looking to keep their seven-game home win streak alive.
