Leading TERRA Environmental to victory were Miani Pantaleon and Francesca Rodriguez. Pantaleon scored 14 points along with two steals, while Rodriguez scored 22 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Rodriguez has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Audrey Vega, who scored four points along with three steals.
South Miami's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for TERRA Environmental, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-9 record this season.
South Miami will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Homestead at 3:30 p.m. Homestead is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road. TERRA Environmental won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Carrollton School of the Sacred Heart at 5:00 p.m. on January 23rd. Hopefully Carrollton School of the Sacred Heart focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten last Tuesday.
