After losing to the Seminole Seminoles the last time they met, the Ocoee Knights decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Ocoee strolled past Seminole with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 51-37. Given Ocoee's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 107th, while Seminole is ranked 235th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Ocoee found their leader in underclassman Mikhayah Boone, who scored 22 points along with 3 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Micah Hannah, who scored 10 points along with 6 steals.
Ocoee has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season. As for Seminole, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ocoee will take on Wekiva at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Wekiva is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. As for Seminole, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Winter Springs at 7:00 p.m. Winter Springs comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
