It was a good run, but the Hudson Blue Hawks unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Monday. They took a 45-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of Maple Hill. Hudson has not had much luck with Maple Hill recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Despite the loss, Hudson saw an underclassman step up: Malia Jackson dropped a double-double on 20 points and 18 rebounds. Jackson is crushing the rebound category: she's posted at least ten every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Sara Hanley, who scored seven points.
Hudson's loss dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Maple Hill, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.
Hudson didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 55-41 win vs. Chatham on the 10th. Maple Hill has also already played their next match, a 47-41 loss against Rensselaer on the 6th.
