The team also got some help courtesy of Victor Diaz, who scored 13 points.
Grandview Prep's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Markenson Jordonne led the charge by dropping a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds. Jordonne is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. Marco Jordonne was another key contributor, scoring 21 points along with two steals.
Somerset Academy - Canyons' loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-11. That rough patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.4 points per game. As for Grandview Prep, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-3.
Somerset Academy - Canyons will head out on the road to square off against American Heritage at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully American Heritage focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Saturday. As for Grandview Prep, they will be playing at home against Morningside Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Morningside Academy is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 58.7 points per game.
